Austin Kerr's venetian plaster paintings bring his vision of how architecture, cities and human landscapes are aged by nature. Seeing this unstoppable persuit of aging all that is created here on earth reminds him of God’s relentless persuit of all of us and Kerr feels there is something powerful there he wants to create this in his art and share it with the world.
Kerr’s techniques are unforced, organic and soothing. Like furniture, he wants his art to be touched, to create a deeper connection than the one given just by the sight.
Kerr was recently commissioned to create 162 pieces of art for the new AKA University City Tower Residences in Philadelphia through Piero Lissoni's office. Subsequently he was asked to create a 111-piece commission for AKA WeHo, which led to a co-branding opportunity of Kerr’s art and signature being reproduced along with AKA's logo on Swell water bottles for guests.

Collaborating with talented designers across the country has taught me the value of great presentation. The design of this art box has been in the works for over a year and it was constructed locally specifically for my art. This box comes with a hand written note, art brochure and 3 original artwork tiles on wood with my mission statement on the inside cover. These are designed to bring to the client to see and feel the texture and color play.
Custom art tiles for specific projects can be requested for you presentation and stored in your design library
After selling almost 300 pieces of art in a year, I thought some installation pictures would help envision my art in the "home" environment. Unfortunately, having art shipped all across the country I'm not always able to get a install picture, but here are some I managed to get in homes or showrooms- where my art is available for purchase.
